Why patients choose the Audéo EON

Clarity that moves with you, automatically.

Phonak Audeo EON R hearing aid pair

Adapts as your world changes

AutoSense OS™ AI 8.0 continuously reads your surroundings and adjusts automatically — from a quiet kitchen to a busy street — so speech stays clear without you touching a thing. Phonak calls it adaptive clarity; our patients call it forgetting they are wearing hearing aids.

Phonak Audeo EON R in Silver Grey

If you can stream it, you can hear it

Made for All connectivity pairs with iPhone, Android and virtually any Bluetooth device — and Auracast™ broadcast audio lets theatres, gyms and museums send sound straight to your ears. Front-row audio, joined with a QR code.

Phonak Audeo EON R in Sand Beige

Less upkeep, more living

New EasyGuard™ domes use a sealed design that keeps ear wax out of the receiver while letting sound through — easier care, more consistent performance and fewer surprise trips for maintenance. Wind noise is handled too: WindBlock 2.0 cuts it by up to 50 dB.

New for 2026 — what actually changed

Audéo EON vs the Phonak generations before it

If you are wearing Phonak Lumity, Paradise or even the first Infinio, here is what the EON platform changes — every figure below is Phonak’s own published data, not our marketing.

Reads the room 700 times a secondAutoSense OS™ AI 8.0 analyses your sound environment up to 700 times per second and blends features to match — no program buttons, no fumbling for the app
~20% more help in noiseIn Phonak’s technical evaluation of the same real-world lunchtime recording, EON kept its Speech in Loud Noise processing active about 20% more than the previous generation — it stays helping while older aids switched off too early
Wind noise cut by up to 50 dBWindBlock 2.0 also improves signal-to-noise by up to 30 dB in certain wind conditions — and wearers in Phonak’s 19-user study preferred it for comfort, clarity and naturalness
37% less power, 38-hour batteryThe new HYPERSONIC™ chip runs Phonak’s AI processing on 37% less power than the previous generation — that efficiency is where the up-to-38-hour battery comes from
A genuinely new platformEON needs new hardware — older Phonak aids cannot be firmware-updated to it. The family redesign also made the EON Sphere sibling 25% smaller and 20% lighter than the previous Sphere
Three radios in one aidPhonak says EON is the first hearing aid to combine universal Bluetooth®, RogerDirect™ and Auracast™ broadcast audio in a single device
700×
AutoSense OS AI 8.0 checks and re-balances your listening environment up to 700 times every second.

What that feels like if your aids are four or five years old

Think about the moments your current aids lose you. The café where the coffee machine suddenly roars mid-sentence — EON’s new APD 4.0 fitting formula is designed for exactly that instant, preserving speech and sound quality as the environment changes instead of making you ride it out. The restaurant that quietens for a moment and your aids drop their noise program, then scramble to re-engage when the clatter returns — AutoSense 8.0 now uses a different threshold for leaving a noisy program than entering it, so the help stays on while you still need it.

And the everyday frictions: the wind that turns a dog walk into a roar, halved and then some by WindBlock 2.0. The nightly charging anxiety, stretched to 38 hours. The streaming that only worked with one brand of phone — replaced by Made for All plus Auracast, so theatres, gyms and museums can broadcast straight to your ears. This is what a 2026 platform buys you over a 2021 one — and why the patients upgrading to EON at our clinics notice it in the first week, not the first month.

Choose your technology level

Which Audéo EON is right for you?

Every EON R shares the same slim rechargeable design, 38-hour battery, eight colours and universal connectivity — the level sets how hard the sound processing works when listening gets difficult. These ratings are our clinical guidance on how each level holds speech together as background noise rises — and every purchase starts with a wear-it-at-home trial, so the improvement is judged in your life, not a showroom.

“The EON is the first Phonak we have fitted where patients stop noticing their surroundings changing — the aid does the noticing for them. Pair that with wax-resistant domes and a 38-hour battery, and it is an extremely easy hearing aid to live with.”

Audéo EON questions

Your questions, answered

How long does the battery last?

Up to 38 hours of listening per charge (actual battery life depends on your hearing loss, environment, streaming use and feature settings). The charger is included in your per-pair price.

What does it connect to?

Practically everything. Audéo EON R is Made for All — iPhone, Android and virtually any Bluetooth® device — and adds Auracast™ broadcast audio, so venues like theatres, gyms and museums can send sound straight to your hearing aids. You join in seconds with a QR code in the myPhonak app.

What is the difference between EON 50, 70 and 90?

All three share the same design, battery, colours and full connectivity. The technology level changes how sophisticated the sound processing is in difficult, noisy places — the 90 carries Phonak’s complete feature set, while the 70 and 50 offer progressively simpler noise management. In practice the difference is background noise: the louder and busier the room, the more the higher levels keep speech clear and comfortable — in quiet, all three sound very similar. Take them on trial and judge the improvement where you actually struggle.

How is EON different from the Audéo Sphere?

The Audéo Sphere carries a dedicated AI chip aimed squarely at the very hardest speech-in-noise situations. Audéo EON R is Phonak’s newest platform with AutoSense OS™ AI 8.0, WindBlock 2.0 and Auracast built in — for most wearers it is the more modern all-rounder. We fit both and will honestly tell you which suits you.

What do the prices include?

Prices are per pair and include the charger, fitting to your prescription by HCPC-registered audiologists, a 4-year warranty and 4 years of unlimited aftercare. EON 50 is £3,495, EON 70 £3,795 and EON 90 £3,995 per pair.

How is the EON different from Phonak Infinio?

Infinio (2024) introduced Phonak’s AI chip era and remains a very good platform — which makes it the fair comparison. EON is the next hardware generation: the new HYPERSONIC™ chip runs the AI processing on 37% less power, AutoSense OS AI 8.0 reads your environment up to 700 times a second and, in Phonak’s own technical evaluation, kept its Speech in Loud Noise processing engaged about 20% more than Infinio Ultra in the same real-world recording. Add WindBlock 2.0’s up-to-50dB wind reduction, Auracast broadcast audio, EasyGuard wax-resistant domes and up to 38 hours per charge — and note that Infinio aids cannot be firmware-updated to EON; it needs the new hardware. (Wearing older Lumity or Paradise? The step up is bigger still.) Take an EON home on trial and the difference shows in your own noisy places within days.

Is the Phonak EON good in restaurants and group conversation?

That is where the platform aims: in Phonak’s own technical evaluation, EON kept its Speech in Loud Noise processing engaged about 20% more of the time than the previous generation in the same real-world recording. The higher the technology level, the harder that processing works as noise rises — and if the loudest rooms are your whole life, ask us about the EON’s Sphere sibling with its dedicated AI chip. Both are available on trial.
