Join a small, independent audiology team
We are looking for an HCPC-registered Audiologist or Hearing Aid Dispenser for one to three clinic days a week across our four South West London and Surrey clinics — full-time considered. Unhurried appointments, every leading hearing aid brand, and no sales targets.
★★★★★ Rated 5-star by 500+ patients
Why clinicians choose us
Audiology the way you were trained to do it
Clinical grounds only
We are independent and family-run. Recommendations are made on what the audiogram and the patient tell us — there are no sales targets, no preferred supplier and no scripts.
Time to do the job properly
Full hearing assessments, microsuction and fittings are booked with the time they actually need. Our 500+ five-star reviews come from unhurried appointments, and we protect that.
Every leading brand
Phonak, Oticon, Signia, Widex and Bernafon, fitted with real-ear measurement and backed by four years of aftercare — so you can prescribe what suits the patient.
The role
Audiologist / Hearing Aid Dispenser (HCPC)
What you would do
- Private hearing assessments: otoscopy, pure-tone audiometry and explaining results clearly the same day.
- Microsuction ear wax removal — the bulk of our same-day appointments.
- Hearing aid consultations, fittings with real-ear measurement, fine-tuning and aftercare.
- Home visits for patients who cannot get to a clinic (optional, by arrangement).
- Working from a regular pattern across Wimbledon, Teddington, Wallington and Addiscombe — ideally including Teddington.
What we are looking for
- Current HCPC registration as a Hearing Aid Dispenser or Clinical Scientist (Audiology).
- Microsuction experience preferred.
- A genuinely patient-first approach and the confidence to say “you do not need hearing aids yet” when that is the honest answer.
- Availability for one to three days a week; Saturdays at Teddington or Wallington are especially useful. Full-time considered.
- Right to work in the UK and willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check.
Pay: competitive, discussed openly at interview; part-time paid pro rata.

Questions clinicians ask us
Can I work part-time alongside an NHS or other role?
Yes. Most of what we need is one to three clinic days a week, and we are used to fitting around NHS contracts and other commitments. Full-time is also considered if that suits you better.
Do I need to be HCPC-registered?
Yes. You will need current HCPC registration as a Hearing Aid Dispenser or as a Clinical Scientist (Audiology). If you are in the final stages of qualifying, tell us where you are and we will talk.
Which clinics would I work from?
Ideally a mix across Wimbledon, Teddington, Wallington and Addiscombe, including Teddington. We will agree a regular pattern with you rather than moving you around at short notice.
What is the pay?
Competitive, and discussed openly at interview so we can match it to your experience and the days you can offer. Part-time roles are paid pro rata.
Are there sales targets?
No. Our recommendations are made on clinical grounds alone, and that applies to the people we hire as much as to our patients.
Do you accept applications from recruitment agencies?
No. Please apply directly using the form on this page, or email info@thehearingspecialist.co.uk.
